This bitter recovers peels, seeds, and roots and was born from the collaboration between the chemists of Russo1899 and the researchers of the University of Salerno.
WHY CHOOSE RUSSO1899'S BITTER POMEGRANATE / CAMPUS ALCHEMIST
BUTCHER'S BROOM: THE FORGOTTEN BOTANICAL THAT IS GOOD FOR THE HEART
Butcher's broom (Ruscus aculeatus) grows wild in the undergrowth of the Campania region. The rhizome (root) is rich in ruscogenin and neoruscogenin, saponins known in herbal medicine for their venotonic properties (heavy legs, hemorrhoids, microcirculation).
Russo1899 and UNISA have studied hydroalcoholic extractions that preserve these active ingredients, combining them with pomegranate (an antioxidant) in a functional bitter. Not a supplement: a liqueur that celebrates Mediterranean botany and well-being.
